John Tertuliani started his career with the fisheries section of the Ohio Division of Wildlife in 1982, and then worked briefly with Commonwealth Technology, Inc. as an aquatic and terrestrial biologist. In 1993, he began working with the U.S. Geological Survey Ohio Water Science Center, specializing in biological indicators of water quality.
