Elise Striz

Elise StrizDr. Elise A. Striz is a research hydrologist in the USEPA ORD NRMRL Ground Water and Ecosystems Restoration Division (GWERD) in Ada, OK. She has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, a M.S. in Civil Engineering and her Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering. Some of her research interests include measuring and modeling ground water/surface water interaction at multiple spatial and temporal scales before and after stream restoration, modeling the fate and transport of nutrients to ground water from CAFO waste land application, and transport of contaminants to drinking water through abandoned wells. Prior to joining EPA, Dr. Striz was a contractor who managed the US EPA Center for Subsurface Modeling Support (CSMoS). She supervised a team of ground water modelers, GIS and database specialists and performed ground water flow and transport modeling and software development.
