Presentation Overview:

This seminar on Ecological Revitalization Using Natural Materials is jointly presented through the www.clu-in.org webinar series on mining sites and NARPM Presents... The session focuses on concepts, techniques, and technologies that incorporate the use of natural materials, such as soil amendments, into site and soil remediation. This webinar will help Remedial Project Managers (RPMs) and other site managers and stakeholders better understand the science behind using limestone byproducts, biosolids, manure, compost, and other natural materials to revitalize highly contaminated sites. Real-life applications of soil amendments will be presented through several case studies, including the Vermont Asbestos Group Removal Site and the California Gulch Superfund Site, where soil treatments were applied for remediation and to promote and establish a persistent vegetative growth.
