Presentation Overview:

This first webinar of the series on treatment technologies at mining sites will provide an overview of available technology-related resources and training opportunities associated with characterization, cleanup, and redevelopment of abandoned mine lands. Presenters will discuss the resources and support available through federal agencies and other organizations, including EPA's Abandoned Mine Lands Program and the Technology Innovation and Field Services Division.

    Michele will provide an overview of technology transfer resources available through EPA's Technology Innovation and Field Services Division and the EPA Abandoned Mine Lands web pages

  • Cherri Baysinger, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, ITRC Mining Waste Team co-team leader (cherri.baysinger@health.mo.gov)
    Cherri will discuss mining site-related resources and web-based training available through ITRC

  • Carol Russell, EPA Region 8 (russell.carol@epa.gov)
    Carol will discuss the International Network for Acid Prevention (INAP) Global Acid Rock Drainage Guide and other resources available through INAP

  • Doug Grosse, EPA Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory (grosse.douglas@epa.gov)
    Doug will discuss EPA Office of Research and Development technology transfer resources and activities
