Dr. Ankeny has fourteen years leading and conducting research and development and laboratory management; laboratory and field research concerning soil physical and hydraulic properties; synthesis of physical, chemical, and biological processes in environmental applications; and design of field and laboratory instrumentation. Dr. Ankeny holds seven US Patents for apparatus and methods for controlling or measuring surface water run-off, groundwater, and unsaturated media. Dr. Ankeny has ten years in research, design, and construction of landfill covers for Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Subtitle C and Subtitle D facilities at DOE, DOD, county, and municipal sites. Dr. Ankeny is currently working at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory conducting basis research in the subsurface sciences for the Department of Energy.
