Presentation Overview:
The NELAC Institute (TNI) is offering a two-hour overview of the application process for states that wish to become NELAP recognized accreditation bodies (AB). The first part of this training will cover the responsibilities of a NELAP accreditation body and a general overview of the recognition process as outlined in Chapter 6 of the 2003 NELAC standards. The second half of the training will describe the management and quality systems the potential AB must have in place, and will focus on how to successfully complete the written application and supplemental materials.

Participants should have copies of the following documents (that can be downloaded from the NELAP Board page of the TNI website) in front of them:
"Accreditation Body Application";
"Application Completeness Checklist";
"Checklist to Determine Accreditation Body Compliance".
Participants should also review Chapter 6 of the 2003 NELAC standards before the training.
