> Streaming Audio and Video Technical Assistance

The technical requirements to view streaming audio and video on the CLU-IN web site are outlined below. If you have technical questions
regarding this configuration, please contact the IT professionals within your organization.
To participate, you must have the following:
- A sound card and speakers installed on your computer.
- An Internet connection with a connection speed of at least 128 Kbs.
- Adobe Flash Player, RealPlayer, or Windows Media Player. If you do not already have one of these browser plug-ins, they are available for free using the buttons on the right. If you are not sure whether you have a compatible version, you may test your installation by selecting the appropriate sample clip. If you are unable to listen to at least one of the audio clips, you either are behind an Internet firewall that prevents you from listening to streaming audio or you must download the latest version of one of these players. If you require any assistance, please contact the IT professionals within your organization.
Most of the videos posted to CLU-IN since January 2008 are available in both Adobe Flash and MPEG-4 formats, and do not require the use of RealPlayer or Windows Media Player.
If you hear a distorted audio stream, or what sounds like two audio streams playing simultaneously, simply hit the stop ( ), then play ( ) buttons to re-initialize your stream or refresh the browser window with these audio controls. Also make sure that you have no more than one browser window titled "Live Audio Simulcast" open at any given time.
If you are participating in one of our Internet Seminars:
- Please do not attempt to listen to the audio portion by both phone line and streaming audio, as the streaming audio is automatically delayed by 20-30 seconds.
- If you are using a dial-up modem connection, please consider downloading the complete presentation
(with instructor notes) in advance of the date of the seminar.
