DOE anticipates issuing a DRAFT RFP for the Savannah River Site Operations Management & Operating Contract (Post FY 2018) in April or May 2018. The new contract will replace the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions LLC contract, which expires July 31, 2018. The new contract will provide the services DOE needs to continue to eliminate or minimize nuclear materials, spent nuclear fuel, and waste through safe stabilization, treatment, and/or disposition; reduce the costs of continuing operations, surveillance, and maintenance; decommission facilities; and remediate surface water, groundwater, and contaminated soils consistent with regulatory agreements and permits. SRS cleanup is expected to be completed in FY 2065. This procurement will be 100% full and open competition under NAICS code 562910 (Environmental Remediation Services). DOE/EM has established a dedicated webpage for this procurement at https://www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/SRSPostFY18Ops/.
