This review and compilation of information on sediment remediation strategies includes an evaluation of the different approaches in relation to cost, efficiency, and adverse effects on the environment. The objective of this report is to provide a status snapshot of regulatory framework and sediment management within the Nordic countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, along with experience gained from selected Nordic cleanup projects.
