NAICS: 562910. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR COMMENT ON THE DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (DRFP) FOR THIS FUTURE SOLICITATION. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency seeks comments on the DFRP for the future Navajo Area Abandoned Mines Response and Construction Services contract. The primary hazardous substance on all the sites referenced in the requirement's Statement of Work (SOW) is radiological mine and mine-related waste; therefore, a significant knowledge base of radiological material handling, environmental data interpretation, and data collection will be required to perform the activities within this SOW. To ensure the formal solicitation is executed in the most effective manner possible, U.S. EPA Region 9 is posting the DRFP to provide an opportunity for industry to provide feedback. Questions and input will be used to further refine, improve, or clarify the requirements. All Information and documentation posted under this notice are preliminary in nature and may be updated or amended prior to the release of the formal solicitation. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs requires the removal and disposal of asbestos and mold-contaminated carpeting, vinyl tile, and mastic glue in a total of 35 rooms within Buildings 113, 114, 115, 218, and 500 of the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System facility in Los Angeles, California, and Buildings 200 and 201 of the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills, California. The contractor is responsible for providing all required safety equipment, labor, and containment measures, including negative air and decontamination areas, in compliance with applicable standards and the Asbestos Management SOP; chemical solvents are prohibited. The U.S. Department of the Air Force requires a contractor to provide range maintenance and cleaning at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station (NFARS) in Niagara Falls, New York.
